As Likhaan: UP Institute of Creative Writing’s contribution to College of Arts & Letters Week, Authors’ Day will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007. CAL banks on its roster of outstanding writers to highlight the institution’s achievements in Philippine literature.
On this day, the the Associates of the Likhaan are asked to pledge an hour to sit at the Writers Table set in the Atrium of the CAL. Readers are expected to have their copy of their books signed. Or simply converse with the renowned writers.
In the morning, the award-winning authors who are expected to be seen at the table are National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera, Dr. Gemino Abad, and Dr. J. Neil Garcia. In the afternoon, it is Prof. Vim Nadera, Dr. Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo, Mr. Charlson Ong, and Prof. Jun Cruz Reyes’s turn.
