UP alumni following the controversy surrounding this year’s elections for the UP Alumni Association (UPAA) officers for 2003-2006, may be wondering what has happened since. It has been three months since the supposedly last day for casting ballots as ordered by the RTC Branch 222, but up to now the rightful winners, the “GP 21,” led by former UP Regent Nelia Gonzalez, who successfully obtained 2,000 more votes than the Upsilon-dominated “GP 23,” have yet to be proclaimed. The Upsilon lineup can’t seem to accept its defeat; or are there dark secrets that the yielding of power would bring out?
