TOMORROW, Vending carts clad with protest calls will be pushed around the UP admin building, and the famous Oblation statue will be dressed as a vendor to signify the UP community’s support to the plight of the small vendors expecting eviction. The UP admin, a la Bayani Fernando, imposed a non-negotiable, inextendible phase out of the maninindas by the end of September. UP vendors, students, faculty, workers will hold a picket to pressure the admin to face the maninindas in a dialogue.
